Dog Friendly Beaches
While we allow families to bring along their pets to stay in our rentals, there are different rules at beaches nearby that determine whether pets are allowed to roam around. There are plenty of park areas and trails for you to enjoy walking or jogging with your pet, but if you want to bring your dog to the beach you can do so at one of the beaches below.
Brohard Paw Park

Open 7 Am to Dusk, Daily
This beach and park is the closest beach to our rentals in Manasota Key and is only about a thirty minute drive away near the city of Venice. This is the only beach in Sarasota County that allows dogs on the beach in a designated area (other parts of the beach are for humans only). Inside the beach there are also benches, picnic tables, showers, dog waste bags and drinking fountains. Parking is available near the beach.

Fort De Soto Park

The dog beach located in Fort De Soto Park is a designated area where dogs can play on the beach without leashes. The entire park consists of 1,136 acres with a historic fort, a number of natural trails, camping grounds and more. The dog park has water fountains and dog showers available as well as a fenced off area that separates big and small dogs too. This park is further away from Manasota Key compared to Brohard Paw Park, but is still close enough for a day trip near the cities of St. Petersburg and Tampa.
